LadyFay – Light up your bag!

Because it beautifully combined two of my passions — technical tinkering and sewing — I ventured into creating a small-scale workshop for handbags with built-in interior lighting. Unfortunately, the project didn’t turn out to be profitable, but for a few years it ran a lovely online shop and produced many beautiful bags.

I also developed the electronics inside the handbags myself. Using intricate SMD techniques, resistors and capacitors were soldered onto custom-made circuit boards and connected to LED strips and buttons — some of which were even hand-soldered. The light can be switched on with a small button and gradually dims after about 20 seconds.
